Supporting people living with dementia in North Somerset
A new directory of local and national resources to support people living with dementia, their carers, and their support networks has been put together by a team of experts. It covers often overlooked issues, such as emotional and wellbeing support.
The directory includes information on:
- the different types of dementia
- common symptoms and what to do if you think someone may have dementia
- things to consider when living with or caring for someone with dementia
- local activities and support groups
- organisations offering help and support
- the Dementia Safeguarding Scheme

Woodspring Dementia Directory
The directory has been put together by Woodspring Locality Partnership. Locality Partnerships focus on a particular area and bring together resources such as GPs, local councils, social care, community services, voluntary sector, local activity and faith groups, and mental health services.
