Nailsea nurse wins award

Polly Cox, team co-ordinator for the rural integrated care team at North Somerset Community Partnership, has been presented with an employee’s excellence award for establishing the scheme which is proving hugely beneficial to patients with leg ulcers

The leg club runs every Wednesday from 9am to noon at the tithe barn, in Church Lane, and people with leg ulcers and similar conditions can receive treatment in a group setting.

The club is run by nursing staff, GP practices and the NSCP and it has more than 150 members who attend for treatment each week.
