The National Health Service is turning 70 on 5 July 2018 and you are invited to join the celebrations. Weston Area Health NHS Trust (WAHT) is holding a Big NHS 7Tea tea party in the physiotherapy gymnasium at Weston General Hospital between midday and 15:00 on Thursday 5 July 2018.

WAHT’s big tea party, raising money for the Weston General Hospital Scanner Appeal, is open to members of the public, staff and patients. So if you are visiting the hospital that day, why not bring your friends and family along for a cuppa. There will be cake as well as refreshments and plenty of sharing knowledge and experiences of the NHS within North Somerset, and specifically Weston-super-Mare, over the years.

Retired and ex-NHS staff in North Somerset

Did you used to work in the NHS in North Somerset? Then here’s how you can be part of the party…

Do you have any photographs showing how the hospital, staff and services have changed over the years? Maybe you have some old uniform or equipment? We would also love to hear your stories; why and when you joined the NHS, how your career progressed, what changes you have seen?

If you would like further information about the tea party, or if you have photos/uniform/equipment/stories to contribute, please get in touch with the communications and fundraising team at Weston General Hospital
