Secretary of State for Health and Social Care floats idea of funding social care via an ‘opt-out’ pay as you earn scheme

Matt Hancock, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, said that the Government’s upcoming Green Paper on social care could include plans for every adult in England to pay into a national fund to cover care for their later years.
