NHS England and NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (BNSSG CCG) have been working closely to find a new provider for The Locality Health Centre in Weston-super-Mare when the current contract ends on 31 October 2018.

Since 1 April 2018, Primary Medical Services have been delegated to the CCG. BNSSG CCG has been working in collaboration with NHS England on the future provision of services at The Locality Health Centre following the expiry of the current contract.

After a procurement exercise this summer and lengthy negotiations, we are delighted to announce that we have appointed a new provider. The agreement secures the future of GP services at The For All Healthy Living Centre.

The new provider, Pier Health Group Ltd, a company specially formed by local GPs to deliver the service, and will commence services on 1 November. Existing patients of The Locality Health Centre will not be required to re-register. Pier Health Group Ltd will be providing services to the same commissioner service specification meaning patients will continue to access services as they might have previously.

NHS England and the CCG have been working hard to secure the future of GP services at The Locality Health Centre and are delighted that local GPs will deliver the new service.

We have been engaging with patients via a patient survey during the summer to inform them about the procurement process and glean their views on local GP practices. The results of this survey will be made available in the practice in due course.  Our priority is to provide continuity of high quality care to patients.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact either NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire CCG (now the delegated commissioner) or NHS England.

Yours faithfully,
