Update on our plans to improve access to our services for patients, visitors and staff

Over the summer I wrote to you to share our proposals for a new Hospital Transport Hub to support our patients, visitors and staff to conveniently access our hospitals.

During this period we asked people for views on our proposals and over 750 people responded which has helped to shape our final plan. The response was very positive with 90% of people supporting our plan in principle.

We’ve now submitted our planning application to Bristol City Council and a decision on whether to approve our plans will be made by local councillors on the planning committee.

There is still time to submit your views as a crucial part of the planning process includes members of the public and local groups having their say before councillors meet to decide a planning application.

The planning documents can be found on the Council’s website: planning (planningonline.bristol.gov.uk/online-applications) The reference number is 18/04977/P. Alternatively, you can contact the Council directly by writing to: Bristol City Council, City Hall, PO Box 3176, Bristol, BS3 9FS.

If you need to remind yourself of our plans, they can be found at www.uhbristol.nhs.uk/transporthub, or we would be happy to send you a leaflet.

If you have any questions, please email UHBT@jbp.co.uk or call 0800 130 3270 to speak to one of our project team.
