Coronavirus and mental health

In light of the Coronavirus situation, North Somerset Wellbeing Service has re-designed the Service offer for the next three to six months.

All service users are encouraged to access the Wellbeing College and wellbeing activity support via Second Step’s website  as well as the Facebook group and YouTube channel, both of which are called ‘Second Step Wellbeing Colleges’. New material will be added on a daily basis.

North Somerset Wellbeing Service and Second Step’s Wellbeing College staff will be collating a range of resources/activities which can be accessed by existing service users with some materials also available to the general public. Resources will be updated weekly to ensure that support is available on an ongoing basis and the plan is to deliver the following:

  • Wellbeing College sessions: a range of online mental health and wellbeing courses.
  • Wellbeing activities: a wide range of activities for people to get involved with, including mindfulness, art/crafts, creative writing, music and much more.
  • Wellbeing Café: a weekly ‘live’ wellbeing café session via Zoom.

We are still accepting new referrals for online support and will be undertaking assessments over the phone.
