Report into village voices - engagement with our rural communities

Healthwatch North Somerset collects information from the public about their experiences of local health and social care services.

We listen to patient experiences, base our work on them and inform commissioners and providers about good practice and areas for service improvement.

Throughout November and December 2016 a number of the more rural locations in North Somerset were visited or contacted to create key links and identify ‘Healthwatch Champions’ in these localities.

These are described as local people who would be willing to keep in touch with the Healthwatch North Somerset team on a regular basis and offer feedback on the health and social care experiences of people in their communities.
