Free wellbeing workshops for Portishead residents

Over the next 18 months, Portishead residents will be able to attend a series of workshops to support their wellbeing needs.

The workshops, which are an initiative of the Portishead Wellbeing Partnership, have been organised to help educate and inform residents about topics that are relevant to the population and community, which should also help to relieve pressure on statutory services by directing people to alternative support.

The workshops will last for around 90 minutes and will cover the following topics:

2023

  • 20th September: Managing anxiety in children and young people
  • 18th October: Menopause
  • 15th November: Developing a healthy relationship with food

2024

  • 17th January: Living with chronic pain
  • 7th February: Diabetes management
  • 20th March: Dementia and falls prevention
  • 17th April: End of life conversations

The workshops will take place at The Folk Hall, 95 High Street, Portishead BS20 6PR. To book your place, email wellbeing@portishead.gov.uk or call 01275 847 078

This series of workshops will be repeated next year, from April to October 2024. There will be an opportunity for questions at the end of each session.

Refreshments will be provided. The venue is fully accessible and parking is available.
