All events take place in Lecture Theatre 1, Education & Research Centre, Upper Maudlin Street, Bristol BS2 8AE in the evenings. Doors will open 30 minutes before each talk for refreshments. Tues 12 Feb- Our 2025 Vision. At this event you will have an opportunity to: -Hear the latest on our draft strategy which will launch in May this year – Understand what all this means for our patients, our staff and for you – the big things we are going to do by 2025 – Have an opportunity to tell us what you think and discuss this with our Director of Strategy and senior members of our planning team

Tue 5 Mar – Arthritis – your questions answered In the UK, around 10 million people have arthritis. It affects people of all ages, including children. This talk will look at the causes, symptoms and treatments for arthritis, with an opportunity for Q&A.

Thurs 11 Apr- Living with Dementia. Around 800,000 people in the UK are affected by dementia, and this figure is expected to rise over the coming years. Join us for an interactive session with a consultant and the lead dementia practitioner who will be talking about how care is provided for patients with dementia at UH Bristol.

Weds 22 May- Pain management
Are you living with pain or interested in hearing more about managing pain? Come along to hear from and talk to from UH Bristol’s expert pain management team.

Thurs 20 Jun- Bristol Royal Hospital for Children
Hear from the Paediatric Emergency medicine team about the role of Bristol Children’s Hospital as a major trauma centre – exploring typical trauma cases and how they are managed.

Tue 16 July- Stroke services
This talk will focus on the impact of strokes on individuals and families, how to be aware of the symptoms of a stroke and how to reduce the chances of having a stroke.

Thurs 19 September – Annual Members’ Meeting / AGM A look back at the past year and forward to the year ahead, with an opportunity for Q&A with the Board of Directors.
