All Clarence Park patients will receive letters informing them of the changes the week beginning 16th September outlining about how the merger will affect them.

An open meeting will be held from 10am – 12pm on Thursday 19th September at St Paul’s Church, Walliscote Road, BS23 1EF. Last appointments will be held at Clarence Park surgery on Monday 23rd September 2019 and from Tues 24th September 2019 the doors of Clarence Park will be closed and all services will be provided from Graham Road.

Dr John Heather explains in Pier Health’s new newsletter that care will not be compromised as there is already access to Clarence Park’s medical records. He said

“We are confident that some of the issues patients have let us know about getting through on the phone and getting appointments will be greatly relieved as we consolidate all staff onto one site. We have been working hard to find a way of reducing the pressures on Graham Road when we all move into that site.”

A dedicated email address has been set up for people’s comments- bnssg.phglyoursay@nhs.net This will be monitored by Penny Hynds, Patient and Public Involvement Specialist and Sharon Moss, Interim Director of Delivery and Transformation. If patients are unhappy about their response the issue can be escalated to Nigel Grinstead, CEO or Dr John Heather, Chair.
