Pier Health seeking patient feedback on making appointments at Weston surgeries

Pier Health Group, is carrying out a survey of patients’ experiences getting appointments at Graham Road and Horizon Health Centre – following complaints that people were facing a long wait.

The Weston-based  organisation has said it intends to work harder to enable more people to get the care they need this year. The group says it will be “New Year, New Services” in its latest newsletter which includes a survey of how easy it is to get an appointment – with questions such as how long it takes to get through on the phone.

Patients are also being asked whether they would prefer a telephone or online consultation to save people from having to attend the surgery. However, this move has attracted criticism as some people may not have access to a computer or even a phone in some cases.

Pier Health is also asking patients if they would like appointments before 8am/after 6.30pm or on weekends. Paper copies of the questionnaire are available at the two surgeries or download one here .Graham Road Newsletter Dec19 v1

There is also a national survey being carried out on a similar theme of accessing your GP. To fill in this survey, which is running until January 19th
