Enter and View of Clevedon Medical Centre

Healthwatch North Somerset completed an enter and view of Clevedon medical centre. Attached is our report including all our observations, records and recommendations.

The team made a record of all their observations during the day. These included

  • The medical centre has clear signs outside
  • There is a pharmacy within the Medical Centre
  • The public areas were light and airy
  • Treatment rooms were clean and well organised
  • The building was observed as being clean, spacious and in good decorative order
  • There are automatic doors on the entrance wide enough to accommadate wheelchairs and prams
  • There are plenty of chairs in the waiting room
  • The reception desks has both high and low sections of desk
  • Water was provided in the main waiting room
  • There were a number of information boards available to read, but no carers board
  • Health and safety information provided was up to date

The observations, together with the information collected from both staff and patients help shape the recommendations we put to the practice. Our recommendations to Clevedon Medical Centre include

  1. To display the opening hours in the Atrium
  2. Carers information board is made available
  3. Staff board including names and photos of staff members to be put up.
