Longton Grove - Enter and View report

On 18th January 2018 our team of trained enter and view staff visited Longton Grove. We have now published our report which details all our findings, information gathered and recommendations for improvements to the service.

The team kept a record of all observations during their visit. These included the following

  • The surgery has examples of community art up on the walls
  • The building was clean with a modern bright decorations using wood and warm colours
  • The surgery building has its own car park
  • The reception desk is wheelchair friendly
  • The waiting room was clean with plenty of chairs.
  • The flooring in the waiting area was wood and in good condition
  • There was a board displaying the names and photos of staff members
  • There was no "You said, we did" board
  • The latest CQC report was displayed 

All of the observations together with the feedback collected from staff and patients helps to shape our recommendations to the surgery to help them improve the service they offer their patients. Our recommendations included

  1. Review and update the Carers information board
  2. Update information leaflets in patient waiting area
  3. Amend the patient information on how to make a complaint
  4. Provide a "You said, we did" information board
  5. Make it obvious that the information can be provided in a range of other formats
  6. Provide accurate opening hours on the telephone answer message

We did not receive a response from Longton Grove surgery with regards to these recommendations
