Enter and View report at Towerhouse Surgery

Our latest Enter and view report is now available to download and read, It contains all our findings from our visit on 20th March and our subsequent recommendations to the practice.

The Enter and View team visited Towerhouse as part of our response to the Prioritisation Panels recommendation. During the visit the team made notes of all their observations as well as the discussions with patients and staff. The observations included the following

  • Reception was light with two leveled desk giving wheelchair access
  • There was a clear sign informing patients that if they needed a confidential chat they could speak to a receptionist in private
  • There was hand santising gel by the electronic check in
  • Plenty of space in the waiting rooms for wheelchairs or pushchairs
  • The Medical Centres Resource Room was excellent
  • They have a volunteer scheme for transport to and from appointments.

The team only made two recommendations to help improve the service, based on their visit.

  1. Appointment waiting times could be more clearly advertised for patients
  2. A notice to advertise the provision of translation services available.

No response was received from the practice.
