Brockway Medical Centre has an Enter and View from Healthwatch

HWNS publishes its report on Brockway Medical Centre following an enter and view from a number of trained staff and volunteers

Our Enter & View team visited Brockway Surgery and made notes of all their observations during the day. These included observations of the building such as that there is a small car park, the building appeared clean and attractive and most of the public areas were light and spacious.

Their observations of the reception and waiting areas included that there was disabled access at the reception desk, the receptionist had a name badge on, there were sufficent chairs for patients and there was plently of room for wheelchairs and pushchairs.

The team made a few recommendations to the pratice to help them improve the service they offer the public. These included

  1. Access to drinking water being made available for patients
  2. Information about online services to be displayed
  3. Keeping the store cupboard doors closed so patients couldn't see in.

We had a response from he surgery advising that all three recommendations had been taken on board or were already fixed.
