Healthwatch North Somerset’s statutory duty and function, which is laid out in The Health and Social Care Act 2012, is to provide a voice for people who use health and adult social care services.

On 26th April 2016 we carried out an enter and view on Rosamar Care Home with the aim of collecting as much information from staff, residents and volunteers as well as our own observations of the building and their procedures

On 28th January a team of authorised volunteers and staff represented Healthwatch North Somerset by conducting an enter and view at Haven Lodge, where they spoke to both staff and residents to get as much information about the service as possible

On 19th January we sent a team of trained volunteers and staff to carry out an enter and view at Earlfield Lodge. We spoke to staff, residents and families to gather as much information as possible,

Following initial discussions with Weston College, it was decided that we would work with the College to hold the event on the College Campus and involve students on the health and social care course in the event.

Our Annual General Meeting was held on Tuesday 13th October 2015 at Hans Price Building in Weston-super-Mare
