AGM 2018
The AGM was opened by a speech from our Chair Georgie Bigg.
We heard Vicky Marriott, the Area Manager for Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire update us on the new Healthwatch contract covering the extra areas of Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
Dick Whittington updated everyone as to the finances - including how the funding was now spilt to cover the three areas.
Janet Rowse, the Chief Excutive of Sirona Care and Health CIC updated us on their plans as community health service provider covering Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
Matt Lenny, Director of Public Health at North Somerset Council also gave a speech highlighting the need to work with Healthwatch on their joint strategic needs assessments.
The morning was finished with a light lunch and opportunity to chat with staff, directors, volunteers and guest speakers.
