Applied suicide intervention skills training available. Arranged by North Somerset Council

The spending gap between NHS acute hospitals and NHS mental health providers widened further last year, according to a new report from The King’s Fund, launched 16th January 2018.

The NHS have teamed up with Age UK to write this practical guide to healthy ageing. The advice in this booklet will help improve the health and general fitness of people of any age, but is written to be particularly relevant for people 70 or over

This is a practical guide for anyone who looks after a friend or family member or have any form of caring responsibilities. It is particularly useful to anyone who are about 65 or older and are new to caring.

Healthwatch North Somerset Volunteers and staff joined ‘Meals on Wheels‘ for an hour as they visited people in their homes delivering meals in Weston-super-Mare and Clevedon.

On 18th January 2018 our team of trained enter and view staff visited Longton Grove. We have now published our report which details all our findings, information gathered and recommendations for improvements to the service.
